Call me a biased GM fanboy now, I dare ya
I’ll get better pictures eventually. Ingot Silver 2015 Ecoboost Premium, manuel of course. Has the shaker pro audio system, blind spot monitoring, rear park assist, and premium interior trim (white stitching everywhere)
I would have preferred not silver, but it looks pretty good. Bigger, darker wheels will help I think, and are probably coming within the next month or two. I thought about waiting for a ‘16, but I got this pretty dang loaded one for less than invoice and they gave me private sale value on my Sonic, so I decided it would be really fun to drive home in a Mustang yesterday.
I’ve only driven it a bit, but I love it. It’s not going to trick anyone into thinking it’s a light and nimble sports car, but even on the terrible OEM tires it feels good to drive. As much as I’ve lambasted synthetic engine noise it sounds pretty great inside in sport+ and track mode. I got it from a dealer about 30 miles from my house, and the highway drive home I averaged 35 MPG. Now that I’ve been driving around suburbs it’s dropped to 26ish, but for a 310 HP 3500lb sports car that’s pretty darn good.
If there’s any questions you’d like answered, pictures you’d like to see, videos you’d wish I’d make, let me know.

You’re a biased GM fanboy.
Sweet Accord Coupe though!

Noice!
What made you choose the Ecoboost over the 5.0?
Will you change the wheels?

Spiffy.

Price. I got a loaded ecoboost for less than a base GT. Also gas mileage: gas is cheap now, but it won’t last.
I’m going to get a second set of wheels with summer tires for autocross, and use these as winter wheels.

11/10 best Accord trim level

Colour me surprised. Not bad... for a GM fanboy.
:P

Welcome to the team. I love my mustang. I have a 2013 GT in grabber blue.

A guy at work got one and says the handling is quite good.

First autocross is March 13th, I’ll know then. I threw it at some familiar curves, it feels like the front end wants to push. It needs wider, stickier rubber for sure. I think tires will fix the push and stiffer swaybars will improve turn in.

I like Toyota better, but I drive a Nissan :p
Nice Accord. Does the VTAK kick in strong?

Congrats dude. Looks great. I need to try one of those out sometime.

Very nice. One of my neighbors has one and I always find myself slowing my pace around it when I’m waking the dogs. I know everyone says it looks like an Accord and they aren’t exactly wrong but the little details make the Mustang so much better.
I'm still wrapping my ahead around the fact that a Mustang weighs 230 lbs. more than my Forester. But it does have 135 mor horses :P

My slow internet + Kinja = a bad time. Sorry for the multiple replies, unfortunately I can’t dismiss my own comments.

Congrats on the sweet new ride!

I haven’t really pushed it because break in, but it’s peppy.

DAT FORD FUSION COUPE
Congrats!

Nice. Do you have the cooled seats? They're a revelation in the summer heat.

More a request than a question: Will you more or less follow the mod path of this Speedhunters editor? That frame brace would be pretty neat.

good choice, i’m a german car fanboy but I also do have a thing for the new mustang. oh and you should also know I’m not really a fan of American cars, so that’s saying something about the new mustang

Could’ve had a Fiesta Diesel.

Can you feel the boost when you kick the gas pedal? And if you had to buy it again, what color would you go for?

Congrats Chevy guy! Looks great can't wait to hear how it autocrosses! It was fun reading and watching your vids last year so I look forward to more! Are you going to get an oil catch can?

Pretty sure this is the vtak turbo from the type r.

Not a GTO or F body, but it’ll do.

Really Nice! Congrats! What’s it like to drive so far? Is visibility a problem in the rear?

Silver is a great color, it hides scratches and is easy to keep clean. Plus where I live it cooler in the summer. Nice ride, I like it.

It’ll go to another home soon enough, and with a tune and swaybar still on it it’ll surprise some test drivers along the way
![]() 02/21/2016 at 13:43 |
|
I could've if you lent me another $8,000
![]() 02/21/2016 at 13:45 |
|
Maybe. I’ll be getting wheels and tires for autocross probably next month. Then I think I’ll upgrade swaybars and add a strut tower brace. Then probably next year do intake, exhaust, and tune.
Coilovers would be a long term possibility
![]() 02/21/2016 at 13:46 |

I might get a catch can at some point.
![]() 02/21/2016 at 13:46 |

It's a lot more linear power than the Sonic was, but you definitely notice the boost. With the windows down you can hear the turbo spool up as well
![]() 02/21/2016 at 13:48 |
|
It's pretty damn good to drive. The steering leaves a bit to be desired, I leave it on sport which adds weight but not a whole lot of feel. I can tell that the tires are mediocre, but that's to be expected OEM. Visibility is bad out the back. Really bad. The rear window is small, the side mirrors are tiny. I have blind spot monitoring which helps, and the backup camera is nice with really good sensors.
![]() 02/21/2016 at 13:48 |

YES I CANT WAIT
![]() 02/21/2016 at 13:49 |

It feels pretty heavy, but the power is good. I've thought about doing a rear seat delete

I find your lack of V8... disappointing. Congrats though!

I would have preferred not silver
story of my life

Screw the haters 300 hp is a lot.
![]() 02/21/2016 at 15:38 |

I find it funny that people say ‘V8 or bust’ for the Mustang but you never hear anyone say ‘get an M3, fuck the 325'
![]() 02/21/2016 at 16:50 |
|
You bought new. That overrides a lot. I think people forget that money doesn't grow on trees. If you would have bought a used one I'd be with them though ;)
![]() 02/21/2016 at 17:43 |
|
It’s a new car, so used ones aren’t that much cheaper. Even then the price difference is significant
![]() 02/21/2016 at 17:54 |
|
You’ll like the silver, may not be the most exciting, but it is maintenance friendly. I swear to God, I am never doing black again.
![]() 02/21/2016 at 18:44 |

I just meant the non v8 mustang, not the turbo 4 in particular
![]() 02/21/2016 at 21:33 |

Congrats man I hope it gives you years of great driving. That thing looks awesome and don’t be so down on silver, as a fellow silver car owner I can recommend you some waxes to really make it pop!
![]() 02/21/2016 at 23:58 |

I normally don’t feel silver cars but last night I was walking the dog and a silver mustang somehow ended up being the only car parked on a main road. It looked damn good with the low lit streetlights gleaming off it.
Enjoy it!
![]() 02/22/2016 at 00:03 |

I still would have preferred Guard, but the silver has totally grown on me
![]() 02/22/2016 at 23:23 |

I haven’t actually sat in a 2015 yet, but if the back seat is anything like the previous generation then it is pretty much just dead weight.
That being said I did stuff a forward-facing toddler seat behind the passenger seat of a 2013 convertible to amuse my at-the-time 3 year old with the roof down for a day.
But still better to just have no seats back there.
![]() 02/22/2016 at 23:39 |

I just sat back there. I do not fit, and I'm not tall

Sounds like Ford didn’t change anything there then!
